Youth Summer Camp
Afrikan Village Universal Institute Summer Camp is a youth enrichment program in Memphis, Tennessee, that inspires learning, leadership, and cultural pride. Campers explore African history, cultural awareness, literacy, math enrichment, arts, STEM, and character development through engaging, hands-on activities in a safe and supportive environment. Our mission is to empower youth with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to succeed in school, lead in their communities, and appreciate their heritage.

Circle of Knowledge
After School Literacy Enrichment Program
The Circle of Knowledge After-School Enrichment Program helps students build stronger reading, writing, and math skills in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. Designed for students in grades 3–5 (ages 8–12), the program combines academic enrichment, confidence-building, and family engagement to promote long-term educational success.
Wreath Initiative
The Wreath Initiative at the Afrikan Village Institute of Memphis is a dedicated mission to support grieving families and honor the memory of lost loved ones within our community. By providing handcrafted wreaths and compassionate outreach, we offer a symbol of solace, unity, and enduring love. This program focuses on healing and emotional support, ensuring no family walks through their journey of loss alone while fostering a culture of care and remembrance.
